Sorby Chatter Tool

Sorby Chatter Tool is a versatile woodworking instrument designed to function both as a shear scraper and a decorating tool. This tool is ideal for creating intricate patterns on end grain work, especially when paired with the double-ended spring steel cutters included in the kit. Users can achieve a wide variety of decorative effects by adjusting cutter lengths, changing cutter shapes, varying lathe speeds, making traverse or stationary cuts, or by cutting above or below the center. The tool features a comfortable 9-inch ash handle and a 4-inch blade, making the overall length 13 inches, providing excellent control and precision. The kit includes the Chatter Tool itself, a Cutter Holder, a Square/Pointed Tipped Cutter, and a Domed/Hollow Tipped Cutter.
